Jesse has started to be much more independent with his feedings, not wanting to be spoon fed...however he likes to toss his finger foods over the edge!  This makes meals a little tricky.  Once and a while we'll give him a squeeze packet, he seems to enjoy the novelty of them and sucks it back for now.  He's also enjoying oranges as you'll see here...

Jesse Bear is officially one year old today!  We had a little celebration at Melinda & Bill's new house while Janny was here and have another tonight here.  Happy Birthday little man!

Nanna suggested 'Jesse' when we were deciding on boys names the second time around.  This was, in part, because of a nice kind boy who worked at the golf club and just happened to be named Jesse.  After we settled on Jesse as the name for our newest edition Joan was happy to share the naming news with the kind young lad and he was honoured.  A few months later while cleaning out their barn and deciding what to do with the handcrafted toy box his grandfather made him, the elder Jesse thought he'd like his namesake to have it.  It looks here like the littlest Jesse is quite pleased with his gift.

Our weekend adventures took us to Newfound Sushi for lunch on Saturday. Jesse loved the cod tempura and rocked the chopsticks. He has also perfected the 'super-cute look'.

Jesse went from barely pulling himself along to 'full sprint crawl' in just a couple of days...at least when he's not distracted by a blade of grass on the floor...life gets much more interesting now!
